And the smartest German Jew who migrated to USA has given the relationship to the mass lost to the energy produced in the process. Just because I am from Persia, one cannot stop me from harnessing the above nuclear energy produced. It has been seventy years since nuclear fission was discovered and now the western world is doing all measures to curtail the nuclear programme of a developing country in the Middle East.

First of all, Nuclear Non Proliferation treaty (NPT) operates in a discriminatory framework giving unfair advantage to nuclear weapons states consisting of USA, UK, Russia, France and China. Iran, a signatory of Nuclear Non proliferation treaty, by all means, has the right to develop its nuclear programme for peaceful purposes. Yet why should Iran denied the opportunity to engage in nuclear research? Israel has a controversial nuclear history. It never accepts or denies the fact of holding the nuclear weapons. And yet the western nation seems to be least bothered about this country which has been engaged in war since its birth. Friends will be spared in this world.

It goes down to technical details whether Iran did or didn’t comply with the nuclear safeguards obligations required by NPT. When IAEA complains about the non cooperation by Iran, the western powers grab this opportunity to accuse that Iran has violated NPT. Hence it becomes easy for IAEA, proxy for western powers, to crib and cry about Iran’s non cooperation. I wonder how Hillary made a statement that Iran denuclearization is essential for disarmament when US boasted of having 5000 odd nuclear warheads. And US have no right to accuse other country of nuclear threat as it remains the only nation ever in the history of mankind to use the nuclear weapon on another state.

US were helping in the setting up of nuclear plants in Iran. But the Islamic revolution of Iran changed the way the west looked at Iran that now the same country which helped to establish its first nuclear plant is fighting vociferously to not to allow them to develop the nuclear plants. I wonder why Iran’s scientific development should be depended on whether they are an ally to USA or not.

Enriching the uranium further could produce fuel to the nuclear weapon. So enriching the nuclear fuel abroad, especially in Russia, still remains a viable option. There would be assurance for the west that Iran wouldn’t be involved in nuclear weapons production. It would be better to look at this option than threatening Iran to withdraw its nuclear programme.

There are instances where Iran has shown its irresponsible nature such as calling to wipe off Israel. In the past countries like India, Pakistan had developed nuclear weapons covertly, though they denied that they were developing any till the last moment. But IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei confirmed that Iran doesn’t have the capacity to produce nuclear weapon in the near future. Yet sanctions keep pouring on this nation. “Atoms for Peace” programme has become “Atoms for sanctions” with US and its allies have already issued 4 rounds of sanctions. More than 50 countries are nuclear states and 15% of the world’s electricity comes from nuclear energy, the dependence on the nuclear energy is increasing day by day. Hence denying the Islamic Republic its right to become a nuclear state is nothing less than a crime committed by the so-called developed nations.

GOODBYE 2009

As the time flies by, a new chapter opens and the previous chapter dies down, though the effects of the previous chapters will affect the following chapters. It is time to say goodbye to 2009 and to welcome the year 2010 with warm hugs and a broad smile. 365 days is good enough to bring in new changes and to throw surprises and shocks among the people and the year 2009 is of no exception to this.

This year saw the unprecedented event of a black taking over as the president of the most developed country in the world. Yet another surprise, rather a shock was the conferring of the Noble Peace Prize to the same person. Well, it might have been an incentive to establish peace in the world or may be the prize was given to him for his wonderful oratorical skills which could bring peace someday to the world. New health care reforms introduced in US hit the headlines several times the year and the US government came out finally with the plans to save the ailing auto industries through its whooping bailout amount in billions.

Middle East, which remained unchanged for decades, continued its tradition. The world silently watched the Israeli’s indiscriminate hunting of Hamas in the beginning of the year. Regime change in Israel and electing the hawk, Benjamin Netanyahu, as the prime minister halted any steps to bring in talks to establish a long lasting peace. Iran’s attitude and the western countries threatening Iran remained intact. The West failed to capture the wide spread protests against the re-elected president Ahmadinejad for rigging of polls. The end of war in Iraq and Afghan seems to be not in the near future and Pakistan had its heaviest blow this year with several terrorist attacks at the heart of several cities. Srilanka saw the rooting out of LTTE with the death of its chief which resulted in the end of the bloody civil war. China’s mighty growth and its taunting of India continued.

Back home, India had its general elections with the UPA getting the huge majority. Youth icon played a major role in the elections with Rahul Gandhi and Varun Gandhi flashing in news repeatedly. The Left was shown the early exit door and Advani was given a much needed defeat. There was a major change in the top posts in BJP and Nitin Gadkari became its youngest president. The centre made a grave mistake in dealing with the Telangana issue leading to major disturbances in Andhra Pradesh. Maoists were at all time peaks and there were many destructive activities done by the Naxalites this year.

Swine flu scared the world commuinty and spreaded panics across the countries. Jobless and the economic stimulus provided by the governments in the various countries became a norm in 2009. Sudden demise of the pop king Michael Jackson brought in deep sadness among his fans. The dark side of the legend Tiger Woods shocked the entire world. The revealing of the inflated numbers by Ramalinga Raju, founder of erstwhile Satyam, brought him disgrace across the country leading to its takeover by Tech Mahindra.

It was a proud moment when Chandrayaan detected water in the moon’s surface. AR Rehman brought laurels to our country by winning Oscar awards. There was a good Bull Run in the stock market in India in 2009. In Cricket, India became the number one country in Test Ranking. Tendulkar became the highest run scorer in test matches and completed his 20 years in International cricket. Federer surpassed Pete Sampras by winning his 15th grand slam finals and retained his number one ranking again.

The life in the earth goes on, no matter what changes and what miseries and happiness has been brought in a year. Let us put the past behind and move on with yet another beginning. Let us welcome 2010 once again.

The unstoppable VIRUS..

Walking in the streets of my hometown, I could hear the loud words of the people. Everywhere I go, they seem to be speaking about the same topic. At my home, my friend’s home, shops and hotels people have got involved in the similar lines of discussion. “In my home, we received 1000 rupees.” “Oops they gave us only 500 rupees.” Women too were having their own talk. “The saree colour is too bright. I didn’t like the design too”.

The by-election to my hometown constituency is to happen and the bribes they were receiving have become the talk of the town. Both the ruling party and the opposition started wooing the people through cash. Not to mention that dhotis and sarees were also offered. Times have gone when people debated on their ideological differences before elections. People who were scared to accept bribes or who hesitated to tell outside about getting free gifts from unknown person started boasting about the things they have received.

It has become an accepted norm to get what is being offered before the elections. And the money that is being offered plays really an important role in their decisions to cast their vote. “Let me vote for this party as it has offered me and my family a lump sum amount”. Every party has started following this strategy of ‘cash for vote’. Let us try to think from the point of a genuine voter who wanted a government for the welfare of people. When every party comes out with cash to buy his vote, will that genuine voter ever tries to vote for these parties. The voting is happening on elimination basis, rather than on preference basis. “This guy is the worst guy; let me vote for another person who is not that bad as him”.

I turned down the bribe they offered to us. Wow.. I am learning to negotiate with people and learning how to tell a “No” to people. Practical experience which is needed for a manager!! On a serious note, this is actually spreading like a virus. This is not for the first time I am seeing this kind of wooing people. Early in the year General Elections, I saw it in my eyes in one of the important constituency of south Tamil Nadu, where an influential kingmaker was contesting for the first time. With a landslide victory to the person who offered them unprecedented offerings, the formula seems to work out with our people. The trend is continuing and everyone seems to have realised that it is the best strategy to follow to get the votes of people.

When the democracy in our country crumbles like this, I have no regret of not casting my vote though it is about nearly 5 years have passed since I crossed the so called eligible criteria of 18 years. Perhaps even my name is not in the electoral list and I have no intention to get enrolled in the electoral list. May be I am not exercising my duty, but between the devil and deep blue sea I need not choose one for my nation.

It starts with a S and ends wit an A

It starts with ‘S’ and ends with ‘A’. I have no clue how I fell in love with S****A. S****A has given me mixed feelings from the happiest moments to the most depressing ones. I have cried, laughed, shouted, freaked out because of S****A. I met with disappointments at every junctures. I am not sure if I had been obsessed with anything else for such a long time in my life. I am feeling helpless as I couldn’t come out of this. My rational thinking stops here, I become crazy at times.

S****A, it is my childhood cricket team - South Africa. I remember the day when Lara hits a century to shut the door for the team which was the top performing one in its group. The quarter final which I could watch as I had bunked my school for illness gave me the chance to see a team which I dint realise that time was going to be my most favourite team. May be I felt sympathy for them, maybe I thought that they deserved something better, I still don’t know how I fell in love with that team.

I still remember the match I started supporting South Africa even against India. It was the league match in 1999 world cup, where South Africa bet India by chasing India’s score. I felt more happy for S****A having a wonderful run in that world cup before its abrupt halt in the tied semi finals. Oops. My heart stopped when I woke up in the morning and my dad told that S****A couldn’t make it to finals. (I couldn’t watch any match after 10 clock in home. Strict rules at home :( ). I am sure that I felt more bad than what I felt when I got zero in verbal in my CAT 07.

Then comes the dark side of my beloved team. I stopped watching cricket for about 3 years because of the match fixing scandal. I felt betrayed, I spent all my time in supporting S****A against India in those 5 matches. 4 out of the 5 matches were too close that I was supporting madly for a team against my home country and realised later I was a fool to support a team when the result was already fixed. The most respected captain was sent out in the most disgraceful way and whose death didn’t even make headlines.

I again started watching cricket when the 2003 world cup began. Yet another disappointment was there for me. I can’t forget the headline in a Tamil news paper “En mel vizhuntha mazhai thuliyae, ithanai nalla engu irunthai?”. Tears rolled in my cheeks along with the rain drops. Pollock’s miscalculation ended the calculated innings of South Africa in a yet another tie and the host country was shown the early exit. Wouldn't they keep displaying the projected runs to be scored in case of D/L? Of course, they did that after that match. :(

Disappointments didn’t end there. When everyone in the hostel was rejoicing when R.P singh removed the stumps of Albie morkel, there was a soul who was dumbstruck and trying to understand the situation. Losing for the first time in the tournament and getting out of the tournament was really painful. I started shouting that if Kallis had been there, the match would have been saved. Tournament after tournament, my support for my favorite team has increased but only disappointments had been piled up.

Call it as a team that can’t withstand pressure, nervousness is their misery, spin is their allergy. Yet they are known for their disciplined hard work and excellent fielding. Team changes, the players keep changing. Yet over a decade I am supporting this team for no reasons and I will continue to do so.

Where is S..........?

Where is S.......? I am not the only one who is terrified by this beast, but the whole world is watching the beast with a sense of fear.

When the world shrunk last year, this nation drove the world economy with its 9 % growth. Last year it proved to the world that it is truly growing in every sphere by organising a flawless Olympics. And now, the 60th anniversary of the People’s Republic provided yet another opportunity to showcase its military prowess. Ranging from nuclear missiles to fighter aircrafts, together with 8000 soldiers marched past the president, the growing dragon projected its strength to the outside world.

Believe it or not, we are truly intimidated by the strength of this Communist state, where the communism is just in words. We are afraid to shout out the incursion into our territory by them. It is a shame on our nation to accept the fact that we do nothing in return for their raising incursions. There is nothing worst than the statement given by the army general stating that the incursion has not increased when compared to last year incursions. I wonder why we are trying to downplay these incidents and comparing it with the previous year as if we comparing to an industrial standard or something. There is no other way to show that we are threatened by this mighty neighbour than to keep quiet whenever the big guy bullies us. Reports of China's incursion in Bhutan are evident and this strategic move, which leads to accumulation of more Chinese troops near our border, should be watched with more caution.

Issuance of new kind of Visas to people from Jammu and Kashmir has alarmed the top authorities of our country as China did the same thing by issuing new Visas for people from Arunachal Pradesh, which it claims to be part of it. How can we tolerate this kind of treatment meted to us by another nation? Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of our mother nation and hinting of other nation that they don’t recognise so should be dealt back severely. We show our strength by talking harsh on our Western neighbour, but we keep our mouth mum with the eastern neighbour. It is true that dragon is growing at an enormous pace which no one can imagine or no one can attempt to stop their growth. Driven by new technology in the industries, China has proved its mettle in the space field too. The world most populous nation, being the largest nation in East Asia with third largest GDP in the world, is going to be the main player in the world sooner or later. Its voice is already being heard all over the world.

As long as China plays dirty sports with us, it is going to be tough for our development. UN security council seat will always remain a dream for India as long as China has the veto power over this issue. Is it that the china is intimidated by our growth and resorted to its spoiled sport for hampering our growth? It outdoes our country in almost every sphere of life and it doesn’t want to lose its dominance over the Asian countries. China’s growth cannot be halted, but we can raise ourselves higher and move faster than the beast, which seems not possible in the near future.

I am scared by this mammoth, so do others. I have no clue if we could surpass this ruthless nation, but we don’t have any other choice. Else this kind of bullying on us will continue forever and ever. The red dragon has just now formed, let us prepare ourselves before its starts breathing fire, or will become ashes by the ravaging fires from the monster.

Live a lion's life, no matter if you are born like a lamb

Never regret for being born like a lamb among the lion, never feel intimidated by the strength of the mighty beasts around you, never feel hurt for the unreturned feelings of love, never feel sad for the unhappy incidents, never feel exhausted by the tiring journey you have undertaken, never lose hope for the hope you are living for, never feel hurt over the painful past, never get vexed by the unclear future, never lose your focus by the distracting environment..

Neither abandon your dreams, nor the close to heart desires but fight against all odds, live for what you wanted in life. It struck me suddenly that it’s been a long time since I posted something in my blog and that I have hardly followed any news to analyse about it in my next post. With pani puri in my plates and a friend nearby, I started wondering why some person in our life appear so special to me. How is that they appear like an angel in my life and what differentiates them with other people that I have met so far? Is it that some particular qualities or some particular character of them that has enticed me? Or that is it a first of a kind like first crush or a first broad enchanting smile that made me to get lost for a moment. Having done with my pani puri, I headed towards my room after telling a goodbye to my friend.

The thoughts once again engulfed me in and left me with a heavy heart. Why is that the person I feel so special doesn’t find me special? The worse is that why do they even feel bad when we express the feeling that they are so special in our life. Of course, everybody have their own preferences and more likings and the economics that I learnt for my morning exam helped me to find the reason for this. The utility for the same quantity of good varies from one person to person. The utility that I derived would me much more than what they derive. Economics apart, the kind actions, caring words, personal helps from the special person linger in your thoughts forever and ever. No matter what happens, no matter if I will be even remembered by them their special status to me will remain intact. The days and nights pass like anything, yet there is no change in the heart, not even a sign of change could be noticed. With these emotional feelings, I started writing this post with an intention to write something in the blog.

My midterms have got over and I could get a picture of my college exams and stuff. New friends, new challenges are ahead and I need a kind of restructuring of myself. I will be back with my usual analysis soon. The controversial Iran president is back, BCCI rejection of WADA code, master mind of Mumbai terror attack is free to roam in our neighboring country and much interesting events happening around the world and I have missed following all these.

The Worst Ever Butterfly Effect

Imagine how cricket fans would have felt if Sachin Tendulkar and Wasim Akram had played for a single nation-India. This is just a post about how a single incident have had its impact in the entire world.

Never Ever in the history would there been kargil war, three other wars with Pakistan, mumbai 26/11 attacks, attack on parliament, infiltration,Indus water dispute wit Pak, construction of barbed wires in bangladesh borders, Farakha barage issue or mores island dispute with Bangladesh. With Jinnah as PM and Nehru as deputy PM or the other way round, we could have saved the lives of 2 million deaths in the communal riots that followed partition. Of course, our Father of Nation wouldnt have died in the manner he died.

I swear we would have overtaken China not only in its Population but also in terms of GDP and hence would have become the fastest developing nation in the world. The money and the time spent in wars, fighting terrorists, developing weapons could have been channeled for development purpose of our nation. Swat valley and Siachen would have become tourist spots instead of taliban hold or highest battle field. Abdul kalam would have joined hands with AQ khan to make India a nuclear nation. We would have got atleast a couple of more world cups and Olympic medals in cricket and hockey respectively. well, we would have been the nation with highest Muslim and highest Hindu population in the world and would have established our credentials of being truly secular.

There wouldn't have been better beneficiary than Pakistan. Lahore and Karachi would have become IT and finance hub. Girls in Pakistan would be thronging IITs and IIMs instead of going to schools with fear of getting killed by irrational fundamentalist. There would have news that girls are topping in the board exams rather than news about girls suffering acid attacks from hardliners. Life would have been so beautiful for the people of Pakistan.

Trust me, the whole world would have been different from what they are now. Lets not forget taliban's main recriuts were from madrashas from PAk. But for Pak, Taliban wouldn't have grown to the level it had grown. There wouldn't have been Al-qaeda, no 9/11 or 7/7, no Afghan war. If afghanistan would have been our neighbouring state and there is possibility that Russia dint invade Afghan and hence there was no reason for the raise of Taliban. The world political geography would have changed. Muslim nations wouldn't have been branded as terrorists and India would have played an important role in its neighbors Iran and Afghanistan and the situation in the middle east would have been stable.

The seeds of partition were sowed by 1905 Partition of Bengal. If Curzon had not brought out this nasty idea, India wouldn't have been parted and everything would have been good for the nation and for the world. This is an ideal example of butterfly effect. An irreversible mistake done in the past had brought havocs all around the world..

Election fever..

The IPL and Elections fever have spread well among the people of India. With the second edition of DLF IPL glowing bright across the continents, the atmosphere back home is full of election mantras and one could see tall banners and paintings and writings on the walls everywhere.

Change is constant, no one can deny it. But what is happening in the election campaigns and the realignment among the parties make us wonder how political parties can talk exactly the other way round of what they spoke earlier. Other than the saffron front, other three fronts seem to have formed without any ideology though the ideologies of the former is very detrimental for our secular integrity.

Samajwathi party coming to support the rebel from BJP, Kalyan Singh and the later declaring himself as an innocent guy who had no role in demolishing of Babar Masjid makes me to laugh out loudly. No one is going to believe this story and nothing is SP going to gain from this man.

One gets fed up with the cheap tricks the parties are playing to woo voters. It was really shocking from the Tamil Nadu's ruling party’s chief declaring the man behind the Rajiv Gandhi’s murder as his friend. Just because one is a good orator doesn’t mean the he could talk whatever he wants and justify it by his flamboyant oratorical skills. A few months ago, the Tamil nadu CM came out with a statement saying the parties which support the Tamil terrorist orgainisation will face severe repercussions and NSA would be used if needed. Gone all those days and now he himself embraces the organization banned in India and in several other countries including US and European Union. The other Dravidian party too played similar innings. Some months ago, the AIADMK reprimanded DMK and its allies saying the war with LTTE issue is Srilanka’s internal conflict and that we can’t interfere in that. But when she realized that the ball is in the other court, she is playing the same spoil sport. Is this called adaptability to different situations? May be, B school Grads are expected to learn these from the beloved politicians!!! :) :)

Global warming, climate change, recession, ways to sustain our GDP growth, FDI, health care, ways to bolster our agriculture sector, foreign policies etc.. Why the hell none of these issues get addressed by any of the political parties. We are growing at a pace next only to china and we have the fourth largest GDP measured in PPP. A couple of people in the top ten in the list of wealthiest people in the world, growing high in the space exploration and the list where we top in the world goes on. We should be indeed proud of our nation and we deserve much more good politicians and parties with better ideologies which will enhance the momentum we have gained over the past 60 years. Let us not forget we have had great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Kamarajar who were so selfless in serving our country.

The Battle Begins!!

Three fronts are getting ready to battle against each other for the magic number of 272 as the world largest democratic nation goes for the General elections. There is nothing right in any of the three camps and that none of their so called manifesto and promises seems to be in the intention of good of the nation but are vote bank focused. The fight for seats in India is no way near to a competitive fight with any new economic policies but a fight based on caste, religion and petty issues to woo the voters.

The United Progressive Alliance received snub from both RJD and Samajwati party over the seat sharing agreement and both were going to election without any pre electoral agreement with congress though they have promised their post poll alliance commitment for a non BJP government. And congress can’t rely on Tamil nadu for repeat of its magical run in 2004 where UPA allies won all 39 seats as PMK, MDMK have defected to AIADMK camp. The announcement of Manmohan singh being the prime ministerial candidate and projection of Rahul Gandhi as the future leader may add a little advantage to their camp. The good news is the seat sharing agreement with NCP in Maharashtra, which ended the speculation that Sharad Pawar is intending to become the first Marathi PM.

With the controversial statements from Varun Gandhi the saffron front have proved themselves that their intention to form government is to spread Hindutva and to build Ram temple rather than to work for the development of our Secular India. Adding salt to the wound is the scuffle between the Party president Rajnath singh and general secretary Arun Jaitley over the appointment of Mittal for north eastern affairs of BJP and not to mention about the breakup of alliance with BJD in Orissa.

Unlike the last election, the Left front have managed to forge an alliance with some regional parties. But its members - AIADMK, JD(S), TDP, TRS and BJD have proved in the past that they could switch parties easily. And it is evident that the BSP supremo Mayawati is eyeing to become the PM with third front support. But for the Left front, there is no common ideology prevailing in the third front and the “non congress and non BJP” mantra is not going to work out for them. There would be possible realignment of many regional parties after poll and the national parties will be wooing the regional parties with promising ministerial posts. And we could see the parties in third front switching to either NDA or UPA front.

Though the odds are high for a hung assembly, let us hope that there is no repeat of 1996 poll scenario where the consecutive governments failed to produce the majority. Hope we get a government which solves the problems faced by common people, pursues an independent foreign policy, remains secular, drives our country to sustain our GDP growth rate, initiates a second green revolution and works for riding out corruption. Though it may appear as distanct dream, atleast few of the above said should be realized for the betterment of our country.

Save Pak and save the world!!!!!!!!

The attack on Sri Lankan cricket team is proving that there is something fundamentally wrong in Pakistan. It is adding further mystery to know what is actually happening in Pakistan. Though the possibility of LTTE being responsible for the attack was ruled out, there seems to be no idea of who is behind this attack. When every country refused to play in Pakistan because of security concerns, Sri Lanka made a bold decision which has turned out to be a bad decision. This incident draws comparison to the kidnapping and brutal murder of Israeli sports person in Munich Olympics in 1972.

The first victim of the attack is Pakistan cricket board, as the possibility of any cricket match in Pakistan remains so low and the effects have a chain reaction and the prospect of IPL looks bleak. With home minister P Chidambaram raising concern about the security issues as General elections are to be held in the same duration, the IPL has come out with revised schedule such that there is no match one day before or after the general election in that place. But the large scale participation of foreign players still remains a big question. This has also raised eye brows of people about the future of 2011 cricket world cup scheduled to be held in the subcontinent.

It has been hardly three weeks since the government had a peace agreement with Sufi Mohammed, spiritual leader, thereby allowing the imposition of sharia law in SWAT valley and the Taliban forces under the command of his son in law announced a cease fire. The so called reason that peace will be restored through this agreement remains illogical. There had been many peace agreements made with the Taliban earlier too, though everything ultimately failed. When we look a step further, the condition of Pakistan appears so pathetic. The democratically elected government is not able to establish control in their own territory. Instead of a long term solutions, the government is seeking short term and narrow ranged solutions and virtually surrendering to the demands of the terrorist organization operating in their own country. It remains a million dollar question about the future of girls in SWAT region as these terror groups have openly voiced against women’s education.

The US has not stopped its aerial bombing in north western part of Pakistan, which clearly indicates how Pakistan is acting as a safe haven for Taliban. The so called “war on terror” is incomplete without wiping off the terror organizations from Pakistan soil. Pakistan also looks pitiable as the government itself not able to do anything and they themselves are victims of terror. The killing of Benazir Bhutto, the bombing in Marriott hotel and frequent suicide bombings in Pakistan have shown the week administration of the government. And they have never brought the actual perpetrators of these attacks behind the bars. The situation in Pakistan will not change unless some serious changes are brought in.

If Pakistan is not stable, the world most populous democratic nation is alone not going to be the lone sufferer; the militants may regroup inside Pakistan and can strike back and shatter the world peace with another 7/11 or 7/7 or 26/11.

Oops..... Where are we now!!

When given a moment to think about what is actually happening in our country, I really feel shocked that the world’s most populous democratic nation is in the grip of some communal sections that is trying to control the rest of the people. With the pub incident in Mangalore, Ram sene organization has given an open statement that they would thwart the celebration of Valentine’s Day. The Karnataka state government, though it claims itself to be protecting its people from these sorts of people, has not done anything substantial in cracking down the organization and the people accused in the pub incidents have been released out in bail. In the name of preserving the culture, one has no right to deprive other people’s right to celebrate some special days.

Another interesting fact is the statement issued by BJP that they would built temple in the place of Babri Masjid. Having done a major offence against a particular community by destroying a holy place of their worship, a loud statement like this will hurt the sentiments of the people who have been already hurt repeatedly. When the case before the court has not been resolved, it was an irresponsible statement given by a leading political party with the aim of getting votes and to woo organizations like RSS, VHP etc. The so called fundamental right to worship and right to freedom of expression will soon be out of reach for the minority people if we are headed in this direction.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://sents1202.blogspot.com/2009/02/oops-where-are-we-now.html' title='Oops..... Gazprom, Russia’s largest and state owned Energy Company stopped its fuel supplies to Ukraine citing the nonpayment of the bills as the reason for its cut. As Ukraine is the major transit route of fuel supply from Russia to other parts of Europe, Ukraine started siphoning off the fuel supplied across the pipes through the country. This made the Russian authorities to take the stringent action to cut the supply entirely through the Orange revolution state, though promising the increase of fuel supplies through its other networks, but neither could it deny the fact that 80% of the fuel supplied to Europe goes through Ukraine not could it mitigate the sufferings of the people who are living without the fuel supply.

With the Russia’s credibility of being a reliable supplier of fuel dipping into deep low, Czech Republic holding the current EU presidency is trying hard to reach out a solution between the two bitter rivals, who have fought on the same lines in 2006 over the price of the fuel. Russia, with the veteran Putin as the PM is standing very hard in its position to increase the price of the fuel supplied to Ukraine and their counter part is also equally standing on their firm resolution not to budge that easily as they have the support of USA and EU. With the attempts made by EU to bring forth an agreement getting failed, the two nations have not stopped accusing each other for the disruption of fuel services.

Well there is no doubt that Russia is trying to play a spoiled sport, but it was left with no other option but to go in this hard line and earning the wrath of the nations in Europe. Russia is not going to settle down for anything lesser than what it demands this time. Well let us watch out for further developments this week.

Where lies the truth!!

In an attempt to safeguard one’s firm from hostile bid takeover and to increase the brand value of one’s firm, it is not uncommon to claim higher growth rate of the company than the actual rate, inflate the profit earned, understate the liabilities and the debts owed. This makes the investors to believe that firm will be a safe bet and the demand for the company’s stock increases which increases the share prices of the company, thereby increasing the company’s net value (market capitalization) and the clients rely more on such a company that leads to increase in the number of projects the firm gets. And hence the company grows in real terms and with already inflated growth rate and profits, the company tends to further inflate the same in the next fiscal year too. Here gets formed the vicious circle with the company’s growth and the inflated profits forming a complete cycle.

Nothing seems to be wrong with Satyam until the company’s surprise move to take over Maytas properties and Maytas infra. With a major shareholder rebellion, the share prices slide down to a great extent that Ramalinga Raju, then chairman of Satyam computer services limited reversed the decision. With doubts raised about the evaluation of asset values of Maytas when all the leading auditing firms deny their role in evaluating the assets, the question of corporate governance came into picture. Then begin the resignation sagas of independent directors from the Board and the percentage of holdings by the promoters came down from 8.3 % to around 3 % as the shares pledged by the promoters were sold out. Left with no other choice but to reveal the truth, former Nasscom chairman and the chairman of the company which had received the Corporate Governance Award accepted the big hole in the account books creating shockwaves across the investors’ community.

This issue is hailed in the media as India’s Enron case. The energy company filed its bankruptcy in 2001 and accepted the understated liabilities and the exaggerated profits and the company also said to have roots in Republic party.
The plot involved here is no way superficial and is getting deeper as suspicions raised about the political connection of Raju with the AP government. The Hyderabad metro project, irrigational project and other government projects undertaken by Maytas are put under lens to check the credibility, with which the projects were allotted.

A tough road lies ahead for the firm and the employees and the top level managers have to take the hardest steps to march ahead. With the government having announced three persons as Board members, an in-depth inquiry into the deep rooted fraud is to be probed. Finally Power waterhouse cooper(Pwc), Satyam’s auditor has accepted that there could have been error in its auditing report. With the future appearing too bleak for the company, a takeover bid from a well established firm, efficient board members and an energetic CEO and a good cooperation to further investigate into the Rs 7000 crore fraud are the only hopes to steer the company ahead.

Israel - Palestine!!!!!!!!!!!

With rockets pouring at the Israeli soil, the retaliatory attack against the Hamas is incomparable in its magnitude. The Islamic university is torn apart, a strongman in Hamas is assassinated and when the aerial raid is gaining momentum, the Israel government is mulling about ground attacks too. The international journalists and other international organizations have been denied entry into Gaza, well a place in our world which is facing total black out is going unnoticed with leading international players including US and UK justifying the Israel’s right to protect its area from the militants.

This is not an issue that has been created some years back but dates from 1947 when UN passed a resolution for the creation of Jewish state-Israel which led to the conflict between the Arab states and Israel, in which Israel gained a lot. Then again Israel started its aggression in the 1967, known as the SIX DAY WAR, snatching Gaza strip, West Bank, Golan heights from Egypt,Jordan and Syria respectively. Many decades have passed, yet the peace eludes the Middle East.

Let Hamas be branded as terrorist as they ruthlessly attack the innocent citizens of Israel. But one can never justify the killing of several innocent civilians in Palestine because of the aerial shelling from Israel. More than 100 deaths of civilians, including a majority of women and children, have been reported so far since Israel’s attack last week.

There won’t be any improvement in the situation unless both the sides budge. People in Palestine must realize that waging war against Israel will only worsen their situation further. Winning a war over a state which is developed than theirs by over several folds and which has the strong backing from the most developed countries of the world is an impossible event. Hamas militants can utmost kill some hundreds of Israeli people and neither their guerilla warfare nor their suicide attacks is going to daunt the country which earns its most income from its arms export. What Israel did to Palestine is an unjustifiable act, but hatred and revenge against Israeli is not going to bring peace to the Islamic nation. Though it can’t be forgiven or forgotten, war can’t provide solution to Palestinians but it just adds further woes to them. It is high time that Hamas realize this and that Israel stops their inhuman attacks on the region, which is experiencing severe humanitarian crisis for several decades.

It is really hard to forget the painful past that Palestine has experienced over the years. But if the people of Japan had the hatred and the attitude to revenge US for their dropping of atomic bomb, Japan wouldn’t have become the world second largest economy. And not to forget that half the Jammu and Kashmir has been occupied by Pakistan and China, though there is an option to attack back those foreign forces to withdraw from the region which is recognized to be a part of our country, we refuse to do so.

If we chose to take this bitter pill today to forget what had happened in the past over the decades, the next generation of people in the Middle East can lead a peaceful life forever and ever; else never in the future can peace be restored in this region which has remained as battle zone for years. I could still recollect the photo showing a Palestinian woman weeping when the Israeli troops forced their own Israeli people to evacuate from Gaza strip in 2005 when Aerial Sharon, then Israeli PM ordered forced evacuation from Gaza strip. It shows the courtesy in the heart of the People to feel sad even for those people from their bitter archrival nation. Let the International community realize that the value of life of a common man in Palestine is as much higher as that of a person from any other part of the world and help both the warring state to settle out their differences and to bring an everlasting peace to the region.

PAK crumbling under pressure

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 246px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_PnbUjTyO0NM/SVh3OsbPXII/AAAAAAAAAD0/fnOyCuRtCnE/s400/indiapak.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285105257046563970" />
The tension between the two nuclear weapon states which have fought four wars with each other is escalating day by day. Even though both the sides are refuting the claim that they are getting ready for the war, the relationship between them is at the worst and both the nations seem to be equiping themselves for the war.

It makes no logic when Pakistan claims that the name of the terrorist captured by India is not in the national registered list and hence he is not a Pakistani. With a population of more than 160 million people, when the list consists of only 60 million people, there is more possibility that the terrorist name would have been in the majority of those whose names were not registered. When the father of the captured terrorist claims that his son is being captured by India, what else is needed to confirm the identity of the terrorist?

US bombings in the Pakistan region near to Afghanistan border, which is suspected to be the place for many Taliban hideouts, have increased in the past two months. With intense pressure on Pakistan, Pakistan is trying to divert the attention of the international community by all possible ways. First with accusation that the president received a hoax call from an Indian minister and then making of false statements that Indian planes intruded into Pakistan region, which the President himself clarified as unintentional “technical error” and later associating India with the bomb blast in Lahore, which proved futile when a Taliban organization in Pakistan claimed responsibility for that blast. All the steps which Pakistan took to divert the attention backfired ultimately, thereby creating further pressure on them.

Pakistan sports secretary made a statement that India is not a safe place to stay and refused to give permission to the Pakistan squash team to tour India which is seen as a revenge for India’s decision to cancel its cricket tour to Pakistan. He cited the Mumbai blasts as the reason for such a decision. If he feels Pakistan players can’t be safe in India because of terrorist attacks in India which is carried out by Pakistan (the whole world believes so), then is it not that their safety in Pakistan(from where the terrorists originate) itself is a big question. Logically speaking, those players may feel safe in India than in Pakistan.

There is no denying fact that Pakistan is also a victim of terror. Benazir Bhutto’s assassination and frequent bomb blasts there give us enough evidence that Pakistan administration’s inability to control the stateless factors operating in their country. But neither the mere statements “we Pakistan people are committed to wipe out the terrorist from our ground” nor the house arresting of Jamaat-ud-dawa’s chief going to bear any fruits unless Pakistan really walks the talk.

Just expressing sympathy for India is not going to help; the international community must put intense pressure on Pakistan to take concrete steps and to produce appreciable results in its so called war on terror. External affairs ministry’s advice not to travel to Pakistan and the verbal accusations on both the sides add fuel to the fire. Only positive note is the continuation of the Lahore Delhi bus services and the exchange of goods across Loc amidst tensions.

Pakistan’s proxy war on India is not going to end unless they are pushed to act. When US have the right to attack Afghanistan when Taliban refused to hand over Osama Bin Laden, why not India follows the same step when Pakistan refuses to hand over the suspects to India? Well, we are not aggressors of war and we look forward for a diplomatic solution though such solution seems to elude.

My Dream In Life!!!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 270px; height: 282px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_PnbUjTyO0NM/ST9iaxctyoI/AAAAAAAAADs/J9A12h0YUc4/s400/dream_a_z.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278045500391410306" />
I am living with a dream, a dream which is close to my heart, a dream which a person living an ordinary life can't achieve, a dream which cannot be realised unless I burn out all my energy in the right direction. Dreams are not just things that we fancy about, but are meant to be realized. They are not just the cloud of thoughts that pass in our mind, but kind of thoughts that we desire from our deep heart and it is meant to come true in life.

I can’t just dream for my dreams to come true. I know the pain when some inner heart wishes go unfulfilled and it will be unbearable when you realise that your dreams can never be realised. But I will never let my dream to become a pipe dream. It is not something that can achieved all of a sudden or it is not the one which depends on luck or favorable conditions but it is one which entirely depends on me, myself, how I work and bring myself to that level which helps to make my dreams come true.

What I want is that to become a CEO or CFO or an equivalent position of a president of some leading organization. I want myself to be established as a shrewd businessman in India, running my business, expanding them beyond the horizons and I won’t settle down for anything lesser than what I deserve and what I desire in my life. Apart from my career ambition, I do want to become a writer and to write articles in leading newspaper. Writing on current social issues, analyzing them and being a critic when required are activities that I crave for in my life.

I know I have a long way to climb up the ladder to reach the level which I wish to reach. The path I have chosen is not of roses but of thorns and I have too many hurdles to overcome. No matter how many times I fall down, no matter if I get completely worn out, no matter if the path is no longer visible, no matter if I fail terribly several times, I will give up neither my dreams nor the efforts which I will put forth till my last breathe.

Terrorosm at its all time peak!!! :( :(

Yet another terrorist strike, over 200 deaths reported and hundreds of injured admitted in hospitals, the prestigious luxury hotels are torn apart, indiscriminate shootings at a hospital, Jewish centre, railway station, the security has been breached, previous warnings had been ignored and the incompetency of India to stop terrorist activities has been exposed to the world wide.

The attacks are not just an act of terrorizing the people but they are sending a message across the world how powerful the terrorist organization has been groomed to carry out a fully fledged attack against a democratic nation. Safety for common people in our country is put into question.

There would be absolutely no improvement in situation if we just involve in delivering a full length speech condemning the terrorist strikes after all damages have been done. Constructive methods have to be adopted by the government and must be strictly enforced. Security check at important crowded places has to be tightened and people need to cooperate for that. More advanced security check techniques have to be employed. Cross border infiltration has to be checked by any means. It’s time we collect sufficient evidence against the terrorists who are happily residing in Pakistan, and demand Pakistan to handover them to us.

Its heart breaking to watch innocent people losing their life for no fault of theirs and the face of the 2 yr old Israeli boy whose parents were killed in the Mumbai attacks is still lingering in my mind. What wrong did these people ever do in their life? Yet they are deprived of their loved ones in such a tragic way. We need to stop these incidents, no matter how tough it would be and how much strict measures need to be adopted, we don’t have a choice but to protect the common man from the blood sucking terrorists.

But its true terrorist menace in India is escalating day by day. We are surrounded by different terror groups. A lot of known and unknown terrorist organizations from Pakistan, infiltrators from Bangladesh, saffron terrorists from RSS, VHP, bajrang dal etc, naxalities, ULFA and many such organizations. But definitely one day, all these groups will be disbanded and people of our country can, rather definitely will lead a peaceful life. Yes, I know this is peak of optimism. Let us remain optimistic in this issue.

Saffron Terrorism raises its head again...

The stereotype that bomb blasts have to be associated with the militant group in Pakistan or Student Islamic Movement has to be ended as Malegaon blasts expose the presence of terrorist network within our country in the form of the “saffron brigade”. This is a food for thought for all the people in our country that it is time that we look beyond religion to crush out terrorism from our country.

It gives a bad name to India as the probe reveals that the perpetrators of the Malegaon blasts were within our country and were disguised in the form of religious leaders or as saints. Not to forget that an army chief is one among the chief culprit in the blasts.

Another embarrassing moment for our country came when the opposition leader and prime ministerial candidate for BJP came in to condemn the arrest of Sadhvi pragya singh and other accused in the blasts. The party which claims to be the one which opposes and treats terrorism with red hand is now following a crooked path just for the reason that the terrorist in Malegaon bomb blast had the same mean intentions as that of theirs. But it is a shame to our nation when a major political party tries to defend those who are charged with serious crimes. Well, a religious fanatic will always defend other religious fundamentalists.

Babar Masjid demolition, killing of tones of innocent Muslims by police in Mumbai riots(in 1993) and Gujarat riots(2002), Malegaon blasts and this list will keep on growing day by day if we don’t understand the fundamental motives behind these indiscriminate acts of some sects and halt their march towards their ruthless goal. This is really a serious issue that needs to be considered and people should be made to realize the menace created by this saffron brigades which is trying to spread out Hindutva by any means and seriously damaging our country’s secular credentials.

It is high time that associations like Bajrang Dal, VHP and RSS are banned to create harmony among the people. It is time we over look religion while dealing with terrorism, it is time we stop associating our Muslim brothers with every bomb blasts occurring in our country, it is time to check terrorism by any means and the onus lies in us to march towards India free from terrorism.

change is constant!!

I am penning down my thoughts after a long break. A series of changes and some unprecedented events have occurred. Barack Obama swept the US presidential elections and is set to become the first Black president of USA and the whole world rejoiced with a hope for a change. Then Britain rookie, Lewis Hamilton became the youngest and the first black to claim the title in F1 race in the historical final race, where he raced past Timo Glock in the last corner of the last lap in the last race. Automobile industries in US got affected badly in the financial crisis and are now seeking bailout from US government.

Coming to our mother land, India’s success in launching Chandrayaan, its maiden journey towards moon and the success in putting it in the moon’s orbit and the Moon impact probe add feathers to the cap of Indian space program. Then India’s terrific performance in cricket thereby demolishing Australia in the Test match series, yuvraj singh’s back to back centuries against England bring cheers to the cricket fans of our country.

Not to mention about the tragic incidents of violence incited against non Marathis in Maharashtra and the government’s inability to contain the violence. And the downturn in Bombay stock exchange with the sensex falling below psychological 10K mark adds woes to the investors.

Well, this month is a long month for me too with so many incidents churning out. A deep feel of badly missing a close to heart friend, a rat race getting over and new hopes raising for my higher studies next year, jobless periods in company getting extended and much more incidents have happened in the few days. Life is all about changes and change is the only thing that is constant with time. Concentration gets shattered and mind can’t think anything other than those saddening thoughts.

It is definitely true that everyone in the world goes through a phase of hard times in their life. So many problems keep creeping in this world. The collapse of big players in Wall Street which triggered the tumbling of stock market all across the world creating a financial crisis, considered as the biggest ever crisis after the great Economic depression of 1930’s, frequent terror attacks in India and Pakistan, political instability in Zimbabwe with soaring inflation rate crossing million, cross border terrorism across countries, internal conflicts within a country are all among the various problems that exist in the world.

So many people across the world are forced to leave their mother land, to abandon their homes and to take shelters in refugee camps. Many have lost their loved ones in a terror strike or in an accident. All human beings are met with problems by one form or the other.

Ups and downs are always a part of life. It is the ability to recover from the depressing thoughts and to fight back in the tough times determines the inner strength of human being. There always exists a solution for every problem in life and the quick actions to come back from setbacks and to arrive at the right solution is required and mere worrying about the problems wont do any good. Roger Federer’s comeback in US open after a poor show this year, Alonso’s back to back win in F1 races show their fighting spirit to come up with big shows after a bad run.

Let the words self-confidence and hope for betterment keep ringing in our mind and give us the mental strength to fight against all odds in life. Definitely, it will be hard to understand the reality and analyse them to move forward. Believe it or not, “Harder the times we face, stronger do we become”.

Resurgent Russia

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_PnbUjTyO0NM/SNDhwXzmUZI/AAAAAAAAADI/ggaCxbIWFFU/s400/resurgent.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5246941787027034514" />
Its time for resilience and hopes for the New World Order has arisen. Russia strikes back in the International Arena reminding the nations all across the world that the loser of the cold war is not lost completely in the world. The manner in which they handled the Georgia's aggression in South Ossetia and the bold step to recognise the break away republics of Georgia- South Ossetia and Abkhazia sends a strong signal to the world that the Russia is not a mere spectator to international developments and the unipolar world US trying to establish is not possible. Hats off to Dmitry Medvedev, though being inexperienced, with less than 100 days of taking over as President, dint succumb to the pressure from the West. Vladmir putin though being the officially in the second grade in Russian Politics proved that he still plays the major role in his country.

The West have no rights to condemn the retaliation by Russia, when Georgia with no reason attacked South Ossetia, which was protected by the Russian troops according to the already brokered International agreements. Though the west allege that the retaliatory attack was too harsh, the Russians had no other options but to handle with iron hand to stop further aggression by the US ally, which is trying to seek NATO membership. The Russians have raised their voice saying that already volatile situation in Caucasus will become explosive, if Georgia gets a green signal to join NATO.

If anyone tries to justify the recognition of Kosovo, break away province of Serbia, why does the same logic not apply here and why does the West fail to understand this. It is clear the world is getting divided and the tension between the cold war rivals is at its peak since the break up of Soviet Union. With Venezuela and Cuba extending their solidarity with Russia over the recognition and Shanghai corporation organisation condemning the Georgia's brutal attack, European nations have joined hands with US to raise their concerns for Georgia.

With US attempting to build missile interceptor in Poland despite strong protest from Russia and Russia's participation in war games with Venezuela, with its submarines reaching those regions for the first time in the post cold war period, adds fuel to the fire. And US abruptly terminating the already proposed nuclear deal with Russia brings further woes to both the sides. Thought the possibility of cold war can be ruled out, the recent developments show that the policing other countries by US would be checked sooner or later. Yet, there is a long way for Russia to go and still lot more to prove that it could become as powerful as their cold war rival. Whatever happens, lets hope that peace gets established in the World.

Thanks to NSG's approval..

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_PnbUjTyO0NM/SMj6xBUe5HI/AAAAAAAAAC4/SZtlvHS5XiQ/s400/nuclear-clock.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5244717486147822706" />
Twenty four years of long wait is over and the gate for nuclear commerce has been opened for India by lifting the embargo, which was imposed on India for testing its nuclear weapon in Pokhran in 1974. The waiver granted by Nuclear Supplier Groups will open India's nuclear commerce with International community. Whatever the saffron party raises hue against the waiver and however the Reds bark irrationally hailing it a black day, granting of nuclear waiver couldn't be denied as a historic moment for India as India is the only nuclear weapon state given access to take part in nuclear commerce, even though it is not a signatory of Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty(NPT). If this couldn't be deemed as a rare feat, what else could be called so?

It was good to see India raising above its standard and playing a good innings in the International stage in convincing some reluctant members of NSG, hence creating a major break through in our nuclear trade and now we could have nuclear trade with big players like Russia and France, apart from US. Nuclear energy is one of the cleanest form of energy, though serious steps need to be taken for its safe disposal of nuclear waste. And the waiver will grant India access to new nuclear technologies and create the way to get the cleanest form of energy. Though the contribution of nuclear energy to the the total energy generation is small, its time we shift to the nuclear energy.

Indian politicians once again prove unworthy of being a healthy opposition, there need to be discussions with open mindedness and blind opposition to any issue without giving a rational thought over the matter wont bring ant solutions. Of course, there are some serious concerns in the nuclear deal. Though millions of money is to be invested on buying reactors and other stuffs, there is no assurance of continuous supply of fuel and India has been denied the reprocessing rights of the spent nuclear fuel. There are issues that need to be addressed before finalising the deal but playing blind politics in this scientific issue and being so stereotypical only leaves bad impression of the political situation in India in the minds of the observers. Without understanding the real importance of the technologies being transferred and without visualising the real scenario in the future which demands clean energy, it is unfair to raise voice against the deal for the fear that India will lose its sovereign integrity because of its association with USA.

Now the time demands more alertness from Indian side on its foreign policies. US will try to dictate its policies on India, especially regarding Iran nuclear issue, it will seek India's support to impose sanction on the Islamic state. But it is in our hands to overcome the pressure and pursue our own foreign policy. Validity of the deal if India takes further Nuclear testing also remains a debatable issue.

With clear objectives and considering the opposition views and proper negotiations by the Indian government with their US counterpart, this deal will help us to revamp our nuclear technologies and definitely help us to pursue our path to meet our energy requirements. Still we have miles to go to achieve our energy levels but journey of thousand miles start with a single step. chale chalo India!! The hardest and the toughest days in life are the days passed in trying to control one's best not to think about some stuffs and finally ending up with failure by thinking about those.

Here arises conflict between heart and brain, involving high degree of emotions and the mighty heart will always emerge victorious. Whatsoever the brain realises what to do and what not to do, the heart over rules all those and creates a new order, which he finally carries out. Why do some thoughts, which we try level our best not to think of those, keeps creeping in our mind often? It seems impossible to put an end to these thoughts.

When our brain understands that we don't deserve that particular person, why is our heart failing to accept that. It will be easier to tell that one shouldn't be a hindrance to his beloved to get her best, that is true and our brain understands it but the poor heart has to bear the unbearable pain because of that. Even the hardest and the strongest heart in this world won't bear this pain, what could soft hearted people do!! It is really not fair and could never be justified when our inner heart wish goes unfulfilled and no one to blame it for, but for the simple reason that we are not deserved to make our wishes come to reality.

I know it is not fair enough to make a statement that it is really hard to control one's thoughts as we are the people who are thinking about those and not any external factors that give us those thoughts. Of course, we call ourselves to be present at the top of the hierarchy of evolution. Then we have to face the tough challenges and be prepared to control our thoughts and fine tune them. Shift + delete option will only end the human race to a set of Artificial Intelligent Systems without any emotions. Definitely One who controls his thoughts and make his heart to accept the hard feelings and the one who has his self control to master himself will alone survive in this world.

So Called Secular State

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_PnbUjTyO0NM/SLkaxC9zMeI/AAAAAAAAACI/mFWyktEH1UA/s400/6Secular.jpeg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240249071334273506" />

"We, the people of India, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a Sovereign Socialist Secular Democratic Republic."
Well, I feel I couldn't see the term secularism in our country other than in our Preamble. It is not sufficient to just declare that every man is equal before constitution irrespective of his religion, but it must be practised too. I am hundred percent right in making this sentence that we people lack the tolerance to other religions.

With the recent developments in India, the genuineness of secularism in our mother land is seriously questioned. When the violence due to Amarnath land issue is escalating, fresh violence have sparked in Orissa when a VHP cadre was shot death. The failure of the government to settle down the Land issue in Jammu and Kashmir has exposed the week management of our government.

The issue began when the government planned to allocate land for the Amarnath Yatra and handed it over to Amarnath Shrine Board, with the intention of helping the people who come for pilgrimage to Amarnath, by providing them with basic shelter and sanitation facilities. Muslim communities protested this move and in some places the protest turned violent and to pacify these agitating people the government recalled the order which gave the land to yatra. With this turn around of events, the members of the shrine board and the Hindu community started their own protests demanding back the allocated lands and the violence further spread in J & K. Road blockades became common and the Muslim communities started planning march to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Tensions escalated as various leaders including Geelani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and Yasin malik were arrested. As the state turned out to be burning every where and the march towards POK was handled with iron fist by the police and as the mob turned out of control the police started shooting, which further worsened the already deteriorating situation.

The scenario in Orissa is equally worse for no reason. The Hindu fanatics started attacking the Christian missionaries and burning the houses and the issue became so serious that Pope Benedict condemned this barbaric act. With BJP as its coalition partner, Navin Patnaik is put into an embarrassed situation and he could hardly take any measures to restore normalcy there.

Things don't change by just blaming the government for its failure to bring peace, people must inculcate the habit of respecting other religions. My serious concern is that many people in Kashmir are expressing their need for self right and independence from India. It is our duty to make them feel protected under one country INDIA. We shouldn't give room for things that further induce such feeling of seeking Independence among people as one cant forget the lessons from Partition of India. Minority communities must be respected and must be protected in a country like India. Let us not further complicate the issues and make the situation to run out of our control totally.

Writing blogs

Getting some stuffs to write about on the blog seems to be easy, but once I get into the topic, I feel that there are too many things that bother me while writing. Under the assumption that people don't bother much about grammar while reading, I too don't look into it much and try to have my flow.

Suddenly fear of giving erroneous statements strikes me when I start writing some facts. Oops, I will never let my blog to have any wrong or misdirected statements. I have to be cautious enough to make sure of the facts I am giving. When I feel that it is enough for this post , I just stop with that and then look for an ending note.

Then again confusion prevails over the choice of topic and I love to have a picture inserted in my blog and I look out for one relevant to the topic I am writing on. As i am new to this blogging, I feel I am spending more time to write. Well, its really fun to write blogs and interesting while facing some challenges while writing. Thanks to blog spot. Then catch u all in my next post.

My True Love...

This particular human emotion in any part of this universe can reverse an irreversible process, bring about changes which seemed impossible to bring, break down the barriers that remained intact for ages, change a person completely leaving no trace of his previous identity and do things which even a million strength army failed to do. Search the entire universe for this most beautiful and powerful force which existed, existing, and will exist as long as life is there in universe, you will finally end up with LOVE as the answer.
It is the strongest emotional feeling that affects every human being which no one can refute. Everyone in this world love to feel love all through out their life. Everyone in this world want to be loved and want to love somebody. Nothing in this world can prevent people from expressing their love to their dear ones, no human drawn borders or physical distance between them or religions or race or color seem to be a barrier to express their love.

Trust me, true love between people is something totally unconditional, that it expects nothing in return for the love to be expressed. It is something divine that only when people experience it, they can feel how beautiful is this four lettered word. Love is not just something that you go and propose to a girl that you like her. Love for a girl doesn't mean that you want that girl to be with you all through your life time as a companion. Definitely, it is not necessary that love between people should end in marriage.

Love is not an attraction towards a girl and true love never comes at first sight. Rather, it is about understanding the other person and respecting and caring about the other person so much that one feel if he could keep thinking and wishing good moments for her all through his life. Its about feeling happy for your beloved one when she is happy even if the reason for her happiness hurts you. Trust me, that is true love, you want her to see her as the most happiest person in this world, no matter whether you come in her life circle or not. You may meet so many people, have crush on many but true love is something unique that really burdens your heart as there is one more soul that it needs to care about all through the time..

Love traps people in a web of complexities, where one can neither stay to solve it nor come out of it. What if when one feels his beloved deserves some one better than him and what if it is true. Sacrifice your beloved, for the sake of her. You should give her the best things you can give, and if you are not the best match for her, you shouldn't be a hindrance in her path her to get her best. You should be happy as she will be more happy with someone than with you. The situation gets more complex when she realises your true love but what else one can expect of her than she telling that you are a good and well wishing friend of her. She can't help you or herself.

I know it will be so hurting, when the dear one you love couldn't be with you all through your life. Believe it or not, it wont hurt that much to see your sweet heart happy with someone else, than to see her being unhappy with you. Well, true love is not to what extent you love to keep her near you or how long you spend the time with her, its all about how much you really care towards her, how much you respect her and how you make her happy. Its all about understanding her every feeling and wishing her every second to be the best time of her.

As it appears crystal clear that the notion that love succeeds when the love between people results in marriage is not true.. Love simply succeeds, if it is true.. True love never fails people!!! As the time passes, may be the amount of time one spend on thinking about the beloved may decrease, but the love and the deep affection on her will never decrease, rather it keeps increasing day by day.. No matter, wherever she goes, whichever part of the universe she is living, your true love and the true wishes for her good health and well being will always protect her and make her happy all through her life time. What else is needed in this world other than her happiness.

The much awaited event of the year, The Olympics, has finally arrived with China as the host and the inauguration ceremony kicked off at 8:08:08 on 8/08/08 in the Bird's Nest stadium in a remarkable way with a spectacular display of fireworks and acrobatics. Olympics is the right occasion for the world class sports person to show case their skills and to set new world records. It is where one could see the stars in different fields in a single ground. It is the period when patriotism is at its high in the hearts of both the participants and the spectators. Games like this, really help in developing team spirit and establish a good relationship between the participating countries.
With Beijing being the host city, along with Shanghai and Hong Kong as the co host, every thing has been set up and the time to test the China's organisational skills has come and its a golden opportunity for China to add feather to its cap if it successfully hosted the event, which is stated to be the highest budget Olympics. And whether China could top the medal tally surpassing US also remains as a matter of concern to most of the people.

Nothing begins without stirring controversies and Beijing Olympics is of no exception. There were violent protests in Tibet, which is seeking autonomy from China, and it tried to get the attention of the countries world wide. And then followed the disruption of the torch relay in various cities including major cities like London and Paris by the supporters of Tibet.. It was the turn of some political leaders to snub the invitation for the opening ceremony, stating lack of freedom and rights to the people of Tibet as the reason for their refusal of the invitation.

Then the earthquake in Sichuan province of china burdened the already tough job and China has showed resilience and now it has made a good, if not the best opening. Now the bell has rung and the games and the track events has begun, now what bothers people is the medal tally of their country. It is really sad when we think whether our country, Mother India, with 100 crore people could bag atleast a single medal. With the senior athletes already expressing their views that it is hard to expect any medal in track events as such. Can Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi pair bring laurels to our country by springing a surprise win over their top seeds? Or will Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore repeat his magic and secure one more medal? Of course, our men's hockey team failed to qualify to the Olympics. We shouldn't forget that hockey is our national game and it has once brought home a handful of gold medals.

When people dreaming to set new world records in the Olympics, participating in Olympics remains a dream for most of us. It is easy to point out the fault at the government for the inadequate funds for the games and the lack of infrastructure and the facilities available and the poor and biased selection procedure in our country. But people should also know the importance of games and the pride it gives when we win a game. We have a long way to go and several changes in the administration of the sports board has to be made and the children be encouraged to get into sports field from their budding stage.
Lets remain optimistic as of now and hope that our players bring home a couple of medals. Well I am ending my post with yet another dream, a dream day when we have a decent medal tally in the Olympics.. Hopefully my dreams will get realised one day.

Oops.. It is really very saddening and hard to hear about the recent bomb blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad. Then the news that about 20 bombs were defused in Surat makes people feel worried about the security of their lives in India.. Thanks to the squad that averted the bombs from getting exploded in Surat , which otherwise would have turned as another major disaster. The bomb blasts in Bangalore seem to have planned and executed with the sole intention of terrorising the people. All the eight bombs planted in Bangalore were of low intensity and were triggered one after the other in an interval of just ten minutes or so, there by creating panic among the public and there by inducing a feeling of fear in the hearts of the common people...

The intensity of the bomb blasts was high in Ahmedabad with the death toll rising to around fifty.. Some organisations claiming responsibility for the bomb blasts in Ahmedabad, declared that these bomb blasts were an act of revenge for the bad treatment meted out by minority Muslim community during Gujarat riots in 2002.. Of course, there had been many incidents of communal violence in Gujarat!!!

Though incidents like these are not uncommon in India, one cannot forget the the terror attacks at Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad, attack in IISC, Bangalore, serial Bomb Blasts in Mumbai and many such incidents.. But these tragedies shouldn't be just left as such, more serious steps has to be taken.. It couldn't be said whether the intentions of the masterminds behind the bomb blasts were fulfilled, but a number of innocent people suffer for no fault of them.. Losing their dear ones, close friends or getting maimed and the wounds left in their heart could not be healed or forgotten and there can be no consoling words to comfort the affected people, who wouldn't have even thought of such a tragedy in their lives.

It is time we think beyond the horizon and look for steps to curb these inhuman activities. The government shouldn't stop itself from just announcing compensation for the affected people.. Just feeling sympathy for the suffers wont do any good, some concrete measures should be taken so that people can recover physically and mentally from the after shocks. Not to forget to mention that, “Prevention is always better than cure.” Definitely we should look out for steps to prevent such incidents in the future.. We should study from the fundamentals and analyse the basic motives of the terrorist behind these acts.

The intentions of one terrorist organisation will vary with the other and they may be correlated or may not be.. But what actually brought all these people to enter into a field where they have no respect for lives, including their own life and other people's lives? They don't fear death, have no courtesy,no soft corners in their heart to worry about the families affected because of them... Is that these people are born with a stone heart and so that they chose to become terrorist ? Definitely it is not the case.. It is not that easy to get into terrorist mind to understand their problems or to find out the driving force in them that keeps them going without concerning about other people's life..

The real situation should be understood and the intentions of the terror groups should be carefully studied. But solutions to these cannot be just told in a line or two, as it involves complex and tough measures from both the sides. But we cant expect a peaceful life, if we don't take any appropriate actions, actions in the sense not just the retaliatory steps to combat the terrorism but identification of the actual problems and steps to address them... Bringing the terrorist to a round table to hold peace talks with them will seem definitely impossible, but a kind of it has to be done.. Though it is not some thing practical, some sort of solution has to be worked out sooner.. Well, lets hope one day the dream day of peaceful India comes true..

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://sents1202.blogspot.com/2008/08/oops-terror-strike-everywhere.html' title='Oops.. Definitely its gonna be a mixture of different subjects, my views and my inner thoughts...

Let me just extend the first two lines of my blog and add a few lines to it... Every human being have lots and lots of works to be done in this world, not for the reason that he has born in this world but for his survival in this competitive world and to lead his life in this so called beautiful world..

I am happy to include a few lines in context to Physics, my favorite subject in my school days, in my first publication of my blog... Its just a basic physics concept that we have learned in our 5th grade or so... For a given time period, the distance travelled by a moving body is directly proportional to the speed of the object.(Dont go too deep into physics, let me just consider that the object is moving with a uniform velocity and making further assumptions to make sure that the above said statement hold good..) What has this has to do with our real life?? Is it not quite obvious that in the life time of a person, the heights he has reached, the glories he has set, the impression he has left behind is all directly related to his steady pace at which he had moved all through his life.. Thats the real nature of life..

Let me give a food of thought to the above said by illustrating this real time happening. In a forest, every day before the sun raises in the morning, a deer need to wake up early and to keep running all through out the day to keep itself protected from its predators.. In the same forest, a lion need to wake up early and to keep running all through out the day to catch its prey for their food.. It is as simple as this, whether it s a mighty lion or a simple deer, they need to run daily for their mere survival.. No matter what your intentions are and no matter where your destination point is, you need to keep running everyday towards your destination!...

Thats life, we need to keep going.. Let me stop my first publication with this and will be back soon with my thoughts to pen down here.. Signing off..
